Montreal Community Bike Shop Network

About

You're on the website of BUM-BUM: Montreal's Community Bike Shop Network.

A community bike shop is a fixed or mobile space run by an organization that offers the community a place for assisted self-repair of bikes, free of charge or at low cost. By 'assisted self-repair', we mean that people work on their own bike while being helped along by the shop's mechanics — amateurs, volunteers or professionals of varying skill levels. Resources, knowledge, and tools related to bikes are shared openly in these spaces.

BUM-BUM's goal is to build a lasting network that supports, represents, and elevates Montreal's community bike shops. BUM-BUM aims to remain accessible, grounded in the reality of these shops, in solidarity, and resilient.
